Sri Lanka Drought Appeal Reduced Due to Lack of Response

In November 2012, an appeal was launched to assist 125,000 Sri Lankans suffering from drought. The original appeal envisioned helping 20,000 drought-affected families recover over the course of eighteen months. Now, the goals have been cut back because there was so little response. Read more, and download the pdf to see what was done, largely through the Sri Lanka Red Cross. On April 9th 2013, the program will conclude. There was not enough money to continue.
